This family room was so outdated that the homeowners had stopped using it altogether, even though, with their open floor plan, it was a central space. By updating the layout, furnishings, lighting and materials, we opened the room up and brought the function back to suit their current lifestyle. With their frequent entertaining, the rug needed to be durable enough for moderate traffic, yet comfortable enough for every day use.
