The challenge of blending the an old historic building with modern elements, while keeping in mind their branding. We exposed the old brick walls, added modular floor tiles for interest, and soft gray on the walls. Then we stained all the wood dark for a dramatic masculine look. We featured a local artisan with light fixtures designed by Kelli Kaufer Designs and welded by a local artisan in the St. Croix Valley. As a final touch, we contacted the historic society to get 100 year old photos of the building, then enlarged, printed and wrapped them on canvas.
